TDP releases first list of 90 candidates for GHMC elections 2020

GHMC Election 2020 TDP first list: Telangana TDP unit which has decided to contest alone in the GHMC elections on Thursday announced the candidates for 90 divisions.

The Telugu Desam once held a sway in the Greater Hyderabad limits. Currently the party is struggling to maintain the party cadre and leadership due to mass exodus to the ruling TRS after the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.

The names have been finalised at the State body meeting conducted by party President L Ramana at the party head office NTR Trust Bhavan here. Telangana party unit Vice-President N Suhasini, daughter of the former TDP leader Harikrishna, also participated in the meeting.

She is likely to take up poll campaign in the divisions where the party is considered to be strong and the winning prospects are bright. The BCs have been given priority in the finalisation of the candidates in many divisions, Ramana said that the TDP is committed to the upliftment of BCs politically.
