TS is role model for other states: Naini Narsimha Reddy

Musheerabad: Former Home Minister Naini Narsimha Reddy has said that the Telangana State witnessed tremendous progress in the last five years. It stood as a role model for the other states, he said. He was speaking at a flag hoisting programme organized by TRS leader Sirigiri Shyam, as part of Telangana State Formation Day celebrations here at RTC X Roads on Sunday.

Naini Narsimha Reddy and V Srinivas Reddy, a member of GHMC Standing Committee, participated in the program as the chief guests. Speaking on the occasion, Naini Narsimha Reddy said that the Telangana State has been a top runner among the states that are treading the path of development in India, and that the state has been a role model for many other states for its innovative schemes.

'Raithu Bandu,' the input subsidy scheme for farmers initiated by the Telangana government, has already been replicated in several states and at the Centre as well, he added. Lauding the schemes initiated by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, he said that the fruits of development are reaching all the sections of the state. Later, Naini Narisimha Reddy paid tributes to Telangana martyrs at Martyrs memorial at Ramnagar X Roads. R Mallesham, Mudhigonda Murali, Erram Shekhar, R Moses, Balu Yadav and others participated in the programme.
