Vasavi Seva Centre's gesture to Amma Asara

Lakdikapul: On the occasion of 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, several social service activities were taken up by Vasavi Seva Centre, Lakdikapul, in Hyderabad on Wednesday.

At a programme organised at Vasavi Seva Centre sewing machines, grinders, blankets and essential items were donated to Amma Asara Foundation located at Changicharla Dwaraka Nagar of Medchal district.

Chanchalguda jail superintendent Srinivas, who attended the programme as chief guest, distributed the items to the representatives of the foundation. The organisers of Vasavi Seva Centre donated essential items which can last for two months to the foundation.

Congratulating Vasavi Seva Centre for the noble initiative, Srinivas said that it has been fulfilling Mahatma Gandhi's goal of eliminating hunger from the society and has been following Gandhi's principles in spirit.

Former president of Vasavi Dayanand Gupta, Mallikarjun Gupta, Prabhakar Gupta and others participated in the programme.
