Vidhyarthi Jana Samithi starts Satyagraha Deeksha at Osmania University
Osmania University: Vidhyarthi Jana Samithi (VJS) commenced Satyagraha Deeksha in front of Arts College here on Thursday.
Telangana Jana Samithi (TJS) president Prof Kodandaram, Senior journalist Srinivas Reddy and MLC Narsi Reddy were the chief guests. Speaking on the occasion, Kodandaram said Telangana agitation was initiated for water, funds and government posts. "We have taken part in agitation so that people of the State will get proper livelihood by having sufficient funds, water and jobs," he added.
He criticised the State government for stating 1.17 lakh jobs have been filled. "According to TSPSC only 37,000 jobs have been filled so far. All the vacant posts should be filled immediately. Job calendar should be released immediately. Only Telangana citizens should be provided with jobs in local industries.
The government should come up with a plan to increase jobs and employment. It has to implement dole. Equal wages for equal work should be paid to contract and outsourcing employees. We will go to every village and sensitise people on the injustice being done to Telangana," Kodandaram added.
VJS President N Ramesh, state convener Sardar Vinod, OU President Babu Mahajan, Hyderabad district convener Masampalli Arun Kumar, Praveen Arya, Narender, Srinivas, Laxmi Narayana, Chinna Naik, Raju and others were present.
