Women urged to avail of welfare schemes

Tarnaka: Local Corporator Alakunta Saraswati urged women to take advantage of the government schemes for their uplift. Addressing as the chief guest at a review meeting of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) in Manikeshwarnagar, she created awareness on the prevalence of dengue.

She handed over Rs 1 lakh loan sanction letters to newly launched SHGs. On the occasion, she advised new women's groups to enroll as beneficiaries of the TRS government schemes, while telling them that they should take cautious steps about their future. Among those present were GHMC Deputy Commissioner Ravi Kumar and UCD Officer Venkanna.
