The Ramayana preaches human values to society: Amzath Basha
Kadapa: District administration organised Maharshi Valmiki birth anniversary celebrations on a grand note on Sunday. On this occasion,Deputy Chief Minister Amzath Basha, Kamalapuram MLA P Ravindranath Reddy, Collector Ch Harikiran, and several representatives from BC communities have garlanded the statue of Valmiki at Koti Reddy Circle in the city.
Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Chief Minister said that he feels fortunate to participate in the birth anniversary celebrations of such a great sage as he was responsible for writing epic Ramayana revered by Hindus. To pay respects to the great poet, the state government is organising Valmiki birth anniversary celebrations officially.
While lauding Valmiki as a great sage, District Collector Ch Harikiran said the 24,000 Slokas in Sanskrit were written by Valmiki to show proper guidance to the human society. BC Corporation official M Venkaiah, DRDA Project Director J Manohar and others were present.
