MLA educates people on welfare schemes

Guntur: West MLA Modugula Venugopala Reddy has said the government was committed to the welfare of the people and has been implementing several welfare schemes. Addressing the Janmabhoomi –Maa Vooru meeting held in 23rd ward in Guntur city on Friday, he said that the government was sanctioning ration cards and pensions to the eligible and urged people to make use of the opportunity.

“I assure you that the government would sanction houses if the applicants are eligible,” he reiterated. Explaining the significance of discipline, he said the state government had introduced biometric systems in schools to increase attendance.
He reminded that the government has given 43 per cent fitment to the employees in spite of a financial crisis. 

GMC Commissioner, Challa Anuradha explained development works taken up by the GMC in the city. Janmabhoomi- Maa Vooru programme Guntur West in-charge, Krishna Chaitanya, Mirchi Yard chairman Mannava Subba Rao were present at the meeting.
