NTR administration worth emulating: MLA

Kakinada: MLA Vanamadi Venkateswara Rao, has said the people of Andhra Pradesh will not forget the former Chief Minister and the founder of Telugu Desam Party, Dr NT Ramarao and they remember him every day. Speaking at the 22nd death anniversary of NTR at the newly-built TDP office here on Thursday, the MLA said that the party was formed on the principles of food and shelter to all the poor in the state.

Vanamadi further informed that the administration of NTR was an example to all and even other states were also followed his administrative reforms at that time. He also said that NTR’s legacy was still continuing in the party as the current CM Chandrababu Naidu was also giving importance to the poor and the old in the state by implementing NTR Bharosa Scheme in the state.

He said that NTR Vaidya Seva scheme was launched for the benefit of the people of AP to turn this state into ‘Aarogyaandhra Pradesh’. Naidu was striving hard for the welfare of the poor in the state. “The CM’s vision is to uplift the poor by creating opportunities to raise their financial standards. The party is for the poor and its leaders and activists would do the welfare programmes for the public,” he added.

MLC Chikkala Ramachandra Rao, TDP district secretary Pilli Sathi Babu also spoke at the death anniversary ceremony. Rural MLA Pilli Anantha Lakshmi, Mayor Pavani, TDP district president Namana Rambabu and other TDP leaders and activists participated in the event.
