Injustice to State in budget: MP Subbareddy
Ongole: MP YV Subbareddy, said that the Union government did injustice to the state in the Budget for 2018-19, introduced by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Thursday. He said that the budget, which did not mention about fulfilling the promises made at the time of bifurcation, deeply disappointed him.
He alleged that the Union government and its partnering state government were irresponsible for not mentioning about the allotments for Polavaram, Dugarajapatnam Port, Kadapa Steel factory etc.
The MP also said that it disappointed him that no statement was made about the Special Category Status, Visakha Railway Zone etc. For the Prakasam district, the government did not allocate any budget for NIMZ and made any statement of opening an industry there, lamented the MP. He said that he was also not satisfied for the re-announcement of making Ongole, Donakonda and Markapuram railway stations as model railway stations.
But he appreciated the statements of the finance minister to increase the minimum support price for farmers by 1.5 times and implementation of personal insurance of about Rs 5 lakh to all. He also welcomed the decision of the Union government to propose a scheme like Arogyasri, introduced by the former chief minister, YS Rajasekhara Reddy in 2009, in all states.
