Home Guards request revision of wages
Ongole: The Andhra Pradesh Home Guards Association president, S Govindu met the Minister for Forests, Environment, Science and Technology Siddha Raghava Rao on Monday and requested him to take the issue of revision of their wages to the notice of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
Govindu requested the Minister, Raghava Rao that the Home Minister, N China Rajappa announced in the Assembly on November 21, 2017, that the state government had taken a decision to increase the wages of the Home Guards on par with the constables in the police department along with the DA and other allowances, as per the Supreme Court orders. Similarly, the Telangana state was also paying a daily wage of Rs 675 to the Home Guards along with other allowances, he explained.
Govindu, accompanied by the district president, G Hanumantha Rao and other Home Guards, requested the Minister to remind the issues of the Home Guards to the Chief Minister once again and see the government revise the wages as promised in the Assembly.
