Tax evader’s textile shop seized

Rajamahendravaram: The RMC officials seized a textile shop  in the main road for not paying municipal taxes to the tune of Rs 5.6 lakh from many years. As the shop owner not responded instead of repeated reminders of RMC, the local body officials took the step.

According to Commissioner V Vijayarama Raju, the corporation would take stern action against those who tries to evade corporation taxes. A total 10 special teams were arranged to identify tax evaders as well as to collect tax dues. 

Water supply would also be stopped to the respective tax payer who failed to pay taxes properly and directed the officials not to take lenient view in this regard. The shop was seized by revenue officer KBR Ravi Kumar and staff RS Mani Kumar, CHV Satyanarayana and others.
