Babu Jagjivan Ram inspiration to all

 Rajamahendravaram: MLA Dr Akula Satyanarayana has said that former deputy prime minister Babu Jagjivan Ram was an inspiration to all in the country. The nation can never forget his services rendered to the nation.

Paying tributes to Babu Jagjivan Ram in connection with his 110 birthday celebrations at Churchpeta here on Thursday, he said he hailed from a poor family in Bihar state and elevated as deputy prime minister with his hard work as well as dedication and committment.

The political leaders should emulate the great personality, who played a pivotal role in Indian politics. At the age of 27, he was elected to Bihar Legislative Council and started his career in politics.

He hold the portfolios such as agriculture, finance, labour, employment, rehabilitation, postal and telegraphs, transport and railways and brought many reforms in the  respective ministries.
