Rajamahendravaram: Godavari Urban Development Authority (GUDA) chairman Ganni Krishna has appealed to the people to bless Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu who is giving pensions regularly to the needy across the state. Cutting across party line, he had been sanctioning pensions to the real beneficiaries, Krishna said.

He distributed pensions to the beneficiaries in 42nd division here on Friday. Speaking on the occasion, he alleged that the BJP government had set aside all the promises given at the time of elections in the year 2014 and now trying to blame the state government for political gain.

He said that the state government was paying the pensions before fifth of every month without fail as Naidu was aware of problems faced by pensioners. The promises given during Ugadi festival now came to reality relating to pensions.

Naidu had enhanced old-age and widow pensions to Rs 1,000 from Rs 200 and handicapped pension amount also increased to Rs 1,500 from Rs 1,000. “It is the duty of everyone to support Naidu who is striving to get Special Category Status to the state,” he added.
TDP leaders M Venkatraju, MA Rasheed and others were present.
