Lands to Polavaram displaced farmers by May 20

Kakinada: District Collector Kartikeya Mishra ordered the officials to distribute lands to the Polavaram project displaced farmers who lost their lands due to construction of the project by May 20.

He convened a videoconference with the Yetapaka and Rampachodavaram Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA) project officers and Sub-Collectors from his camp office on Tuesday evening.

Speaking on this occasion, Mishra ordered the officials that they should distribute ‘land for land’ to all the farmers who lost their lands. He ordered the Sub-Collectors that they should take measures to complete the Patta registration and other necessary works for the distribution of lands. 

He instructed the officials to review the progress of the works at the R and R (rehabilitation and resettlement) colonies in the agency areas. He further told the officials to start the works relating to the establishment of electric bore wells at 14 R&R colonies who completed the tender process.

Mishra ordered them to complete the process of land acquisition within five days. He told the Sub-Collectors to upload the works with necessary photographs on the website for the R&R works.

He asked ITDA Rampachodavaram project officer to provide three-phase power supply to R&R colonies after taking the help of SE of APEPDCL Rajahmundry.
