Benefits to people from Janmabhoomi, says Meda
Kadapa: Rajampet MLA and Government Whip Meda Mallikarjuna Reddy has participated in Janmabhoomi–Maa Vooru programme at Madanagopalapuram village in Rajampet mandal on Monday. Addressing the Janmabhoomi meeting, the Whip said the government had spent Rs 1.5 crore on developmental works in the villages of Rajampet mandal in the last 3 Janmabhoomi programmes.
The MLA sanctioned 21 old-age pensions and 23 houses for beneficiaries on the occasion. “There was festive climate prevailing in every village across the district as the people are voluntarily participating in the programme,” he stated. A 60-year-old Vellam Alivelu, who secured old-age pension, has expressed happiness for getting Rs 1,000 as she was visiting the office concerned for the last 10 months.
In another Janmabhoomi programme organised at Potladurthy village in Yerraguntla mandal on Monday, TDP Rajya Sabha member CM Ramesh, District Collector T Baburao Naidu and other officials took part.
