Permission must for Sankranti Sambaralu: police

Vijayawada: The Vijayawada police here on Friday have announced that the organisers who conduct Sankranti Sambaralu should get prior permission from police.

The police commissionerate has said that they would not allow SankrantiSambaralu being conducted in any manner without certain permission. Police claim that they have information that cock fight arrangements are being made in the name of Sankranti Sambaraluat various areas in the city limits.

The organisers should submit details of SankrantiSambaralu location, owner of the site and his approval. Police also gave instructions that CC TV cameras should be installed at the location. The programmes would be allowed after 6 p,m and especially cock-fights are not allowed. They will take serious action against any violations, police said.
