Ramakrishna taken into custody

Guntur: Guntur urban district police took CPI state secretary K Ramakrishna into  their custody in Prattipadu while  he was proceeding to Gottipadu and shifted him  to Nagarampalem police station as a precautionary measure. After few hours, they released him.

Similarly, the police took CPI district secretary Jangala Ajay Kumar and party activists into custody and later released them. It may be recalled that two groups clashed at Peda Gottipadu village on December 31 over a petty issue.

The police set up Peace Committees in the villages and restored the normalcy. Speaking to the media in  Guntur city, Jangala Ajay Kumar warned that  they will continue their agitation  till Dalits in Peda Gottipadu village get justice.
