Lecturers with fake PhDs to be dismissed

Vijayawada: Two lecturers hoodwinked the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission by producing fake PhD certificates to obtain the government jobs as degree college lecturers, according to a source in the vigilance department.

Criminal cases would be registered against them and they would be dismissed from jobs. About Rs 40 lakh had been paid to both the accused by the government by way of salaries and other benefits.

Out of the two accused one was working as computer science lecturer at SRR and CVR Degree College in Vijayawada and the other was working at Movva Government Degree College. They had applied with fake documents to secure the government jobs in 2013.
