Let's make Vijayawada a safe city, says Vasavya Mahila Mandali

Vijayawada: Vasavya Mahila Mandali (VMM) with the support of HCL Foundation organised Amma programme at Kandrika and VAMBAY Colony on Friday. Addressing a gathering, counsellor Saloni explained about the activities of Amma programme and Mahila Mithra members. She said everyone should feel the responsibility to make Vijayawada a safe city. She told the women, who attended the programme, to be bold to face any situation.

Vijayawada Municipal Corporation Cooption member K Devamani, said Mahila Mithra members of the city police were organising various programmes to support women. She said that the women can inform Mahila Mithra members and take their help if they face any problem. About 500 women from that area participated in the programme. Members of self-help groups and VMM were present.
