Isolated rain forecast for coastal AP, Seema
Hyderabad: Rain occurred at isolated places in Rayalaseema and coastal Andhra Pradesh during the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Monday. There was one cm of rain in Paderu of Vishakhapatnam district.
The highest day temperature of 41 degrees Celsius was recorded in Jangamaheswarapuram, Anantapur, Kadapa, Kurnool and Nandyal, the Met department bulletin said on Monday.
The temperatures registered an appreciable rise ranging from 2.1 to 4 degrees Celsius in some parts of the coastal districts on Monday. They were above normal in some parts of the coastal and Rayalaseema districts.
The bulletin listed the other day temperatures recorded in the State were: Nandigama 40, Kakinada, Nellore, Vijayawada & Tirupati 39 each, Kavali 38, Machilipatnam & Ongole 37 each, Visakhapatnam Airport &Arogyavaram 36 each, Bapatla&Narsapur 35 each, Tuni 34, Visakhapatnam &Kalingapatnam 33 each.
According to the forecast, light to moderate rain or thundershowers are very likely to occur at isolated places in the coastal and Rayalaseema districts from May 8 to 11. No large change during the period May 12 to 14 is the weather outlook.
