BJP demands CM’s apology

Vijayawada: MLC Somu Veerraju demanded Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to tender apologyto BJP national president Amit Shah for the attack on the latter by the TDP leaders. 

Speaking to media persons here on Saturday, Somu Veerraju asked the government to suspend the Superintendent of Police for his failure in providing security to the national leader.

Suspecting Chief Minister’s hand behind the incident, the BJP leader asked Naidu to take responsibility on this issue. He wondered why the police did not arrest any Telugu Desam leaders though they attacked Amit Shah.

He asked the Chief Minister as to how the government would protect the public when it failed to provide security for national party president. 

Stating that Chandrababu Naidu gave 120 promises during the elections but he could not fulfil even 10 per cent among them and recalled that actor-turned-politician N Balakrishna abused Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the presence of the Chief Minister. But the government did not take any action against Balakrishna, he added.

He blamed Chandrababu Naidu for provoking film actor Sivaji, Chalasani Srinivas and NGO leader Ashok Babu. He said AP NGOs did not do anything for protecting the interests of the state.  BJP leaders Lakshmipathi Raja and Dileep were present.
