Employees strongly oppose adverse propaganda against TTD management

Tirupati: In protest against the adverse propaganda against the TTD which administers the famous temple of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala, the TTD employees on Friday staged a sit-in-protest before the main entrance of TTD administrative building here.

Members of more than a dozen employees unions’ in the TTD joined in the protest which lasted for about 90 minutes, blocking the employees from entering the office affecting normal work till 12 noon. Speaking on the occasion, the leaders of various unions particularly targeted former chief priest of Tirumala temple A V Ramana Deekshitulu for making allegations against the TTD management.

They said it was not wise on the part of Deekshitulu who had enjoyed a coveted position and privileges as the chief priest of famed Tirumala temple for a long time, now trying to casting aspersions on the TTD management.  

Expressing concern over the former Tirumala temple chief priest issue turning into a major controversy and going to national level, they in one voice demanded that Deekshithulu should withdraw his comments and put an end to the adverse propaganda in the interest of the TTD and the employees working in the organisation.

It may be recalled that the employees including those working at Tirumala temple attended duty wearing black badges on Thursday in protest against former chief priest Ramana Dekshithulu adverse propaganda against the TTD management.

Union leaders including Lakshmi Narayana Yadava (Officers’ Association), Nagarjuna, (TTD Staff and Workers United Front), Prasad (TTD SC, ST Employees Association president), Indira (TTD Women Employees Association) and others participated.
