GenNext brings out new innovations

Vijayawada: The department of Computer Science of SRK Institute of Technology and IB Hub jointly organised a week-long Internet of Things (IoT) Boot Camp and developed new innovations, according to programme coordinator Dr D Haritha on Friday.

She said that about seven new things were developed in the week-long programme organised at SRK Institute of Technology.  She said that 'Intelligent Automobile System' was developed by students of Rajiv Gandhi University and Knowledge Technology.

They developed a helmet which warns the rider by flashing a light if the rider is alcoholic. If the alcoholic rider wears the helmet the engine of the bike will not start.  

The students of SRK Institute developed 'Connected Overhead Tank' which indicate the water level in the overhead tank. 'Rythu Nestam' was developed by students of Karunya University, this technology enables the farmers to operate the water pump sitting at home instead of the farmer going to the farm late night.

She said that 'Smart Gas Alert System' was developed by students of Karunya University. This system would  automatically switch off all the electrical equipment if there is a gas leakage on the premises.

'Smart Traffic Signals' was developed by SRK Institute of Technology students which enables the traffic clearance for the ambulance to reach the nearest hospital from the accident spot.
