Water supply in Narasaraopet is best in state

Amaravati: Speaker Dr Kodela Sivaprasada Rao at a meeting with K Kannababu, director of municipal administration and Muralidhar Reddy, managing director of Swachha Andhra Corporation, reviewed the development programmes undertaken in Sattenapalli and Narasaraopet municipalities.

The officials told the Speaker that both the municipalities were developed exemplarily in the last four years. Given suitable support and encouragement, both the municipalities would vie for first place in the state, they said.

Kanna Babu said that the drinking water supply scheme in Narasaraopet municipality is the best in the state. He said that drinking water taps would be provided to all the households in Sattenapalli too.

However, efforts would be made to improve the sanitary conditions in both the municipalities, Kannababu said. Sattenappli municipal chairman Nagavarapu Subaraya Gupta, Narasaraopet municipal chairman Yalinidi Ramaswamy, the municipal commissioners and officials were present.
