Appointment of 30K green ambassadors in AP soon

Anantapur: D Muralidhar Reddy, Managing Director (MD) of the Swachha Andhra Corporation, has asked officials of the district to apply their mind on solid waste management for bringing the district on the Open-Defecation Free (ODF) plus map. 

He also instructed the officials to appoint green ambassadors in all panchayats. The MD said that 30,000 such ambassadors will be appointed in the state. 

These green ambassadors will take care of solid waste management and segregation of dry and wet garbage. 

They will also create awareness on the waste management issue. Joint Collector Dilli Rao, ZP CEO Shoba Swaroopa Rani and DPO Mohan Rao were among those who were present.
