Senior Assistant in ACB net
Kurnool: The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths trapped an official red handed while accepting a bribe of Rs.10,000 from one P Tirumalesh at Orvakal Mandal Parishad Development Office (MPDO) on Tuesday. The ACB, Deputy Superintendent of Police, C Jaya Rama Raju disclosing the details said, ``We have received a complaint from one P Tirumalesh of N Konthalapadu village revealing the demand of Abdul Razak, who is working as senior assistant in Orvakal MPDO office.
According to the complainant, he has applied for loan in SC Corporation on his wife’s name to set up a grocery and fancy shop. The application has to be processed and uploaded online from the MPDO office. When the complainant approached the senior assistant, he has demanded Rs.10,000 to upload his application or else it would be kept aside.
``With this, Tirumalesh has approached us and lodged a complaint. After receiving the complaint, our circle inspectors, Nagabhushanam and Khader Basha laid a trap and nabbed the officer while accepting the bribe of Rs.10,000. We have seized the amount and arrested the official,’’ the DSP said. A case has been lodged and the senior assistant, Abdul Razak would be produced in the ACB court for further action, added the ACB, DSP, C Jayarama Raju.
