Teachers advised against lobbying for transfers: Collector K Bhaskar

Eluru: District Collector K Bhaskar asked education authorities to ensure presence of sufficient number of teachers to meet the student strength in all government schools.

He convened a review meeting with the education officials  here on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, he warned the teachers against lobbying for transfers. He directed the district education officials to suspend the teachers if they indulge in lobbying. 

The Collector said that the teachers should work at the place where there was need for teachers. There was no need to continue teachers in place of their choice. 

He wondered what the teachers would do when the student strength was less compared to the presence of teachers.

He also made it clear that those who make criticism of government schemes need not continue. 

If anybody makes statements against the government, such employees should be served show cause notices. Disciplinary action would follow, he warned.
