Chandrababu Naidu promises incentives to sportspersons
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said that he was working to ensure that Andhra Pradesh stays first in all respects.
Speaking after launching the works of an international sports facility in Vijayawada on Tuesday, he said that he was committed for the development of sports in Andhra Pradesh. He said that the efforts made by him during his stint in Hyderabad has ensured that world class players were produced in the Gopichand Badminton Academy. He said that the Government’s Project Gandeeva, involving eminent cricketer Anil Kumble will help in identifying the sporting talent in Andhra Pradesh.
He said that the Government will provide jobs to talented sportspersons and would give incentives to good sportspersons. Eminent sportspersons Anil Kumble, Koneru Hampi and Karanam Malleswari were also present.
