CID SP DM Prasanthi visits Asa Sadan

Ongole: One should let go of their past to settle in society and walk with self-confidence and content into the future, said the CID SP DM Prasanthi.

She visited the Asa Sadan, a rescue home maintained by the HELP NGO in Machavaram village of Naguluppalapadu mandal on Thursday and interacted with the victims.

After witnessing the works they are being trained with and facilities being provided, Prasanthi spoke to the victims and said that everyone commits mistakes by knowing or unknowing due to the circumstances. 

She advised to not dear about the future by thinking always about the past and asked them let it go. She said them to start a new life with the training they underwent in the Asa Sadan. 

She assured that the government, police and CID departments will be supportive to the victims in future. She appreciated a victim girl, who is living in the home for the last 10 years and became first in studies.

The officer assured the girl that all future expenditure of higher education will be borne by her and she encouraged other girls also to study well.

Prasanthi inaugurated the wall poster of the ‘World Day against Trafficking in Persons’ being observed on July 30 prepared by the HELP NGO and Girls Advocacy Alliance. 

The HELP state advocacy officer M Anand, HELP program officer BV Sagar, Asa Sadan incharge M Jayasri and other staff also participated in the programme.
