Telugu Desam Government striving for uplift of Dalits : Former Minister Dr G Kuthuhalamma

Chittoor: Participating in the Grama Darshini programme at Diguvamagham in Thavanampalle mandal on Saturday, former Minister Dr G Kuthuhalamma said that the TDP is committed to welfare of Dalits. 

The ruling government has been implementing various welfare schemes for their upliftment, she stated. Kuthuhalamma said Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu took up several developmental works despite the state is in revenue deficit after the bifurcation. 

She ridiculed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for denying Special Category Status to Andhra Pradesh. The TDP leader mentioned the BJP-led NDA government would suffer defeat in the next general elections and exuded confidence of the TDP winning all the 14 Assembly constituencies in the district. 

ZP Chairperson Girvani has appreciated the Chief Minister for making relentless efforts to develop his native district for the last four years. 

Stage has been set to declare Chittoor district as an industrial hub, she stated, adding 1,300-gram panchayats in the district has witnessed development under the leadership of Industries Minister N Amaranatha Reddy and District Collector PS Pradyumna. 

The ZP chief termed distribution of 5.37 lakh old-age pensions in the district as a spectacular achievement. 

She mentioned more than 12 lakh white ration cards were distributed. Referring to the agricultural sector, Girvani said the 7-hour uninterrupted power is being supplied to farm operations.  

She gave a call to the farmers and other sections of the society to extend their cooperation for strengthening the hands of Chandrababu.

Senior TDP leaders Chandra Prakash, Suneetha, Sankar and others were present.
