Isolated rain forecast for AP State

Hyderabad: Light to moderate rain or thundershowers are very likely to occur at isolated places in Andhra Pradesh from July 25 to 28, as the well marked low pressure area over northwest MP and adjoining south UP now lies as a low pressure area over the same region. The associated upper air cyclonic circulation extends up to 5.8 km above the mean sea level, the Met department bulletin said on Monday.

According to the bulletin, the Southwest Monsoon continued to be weak across the State. Rain occurred at isolated places in the two regions of Andhra Pradesh. There was 1 cm rain in Kunavaram (East Godavari), Vararamachandrapuram (EG), Sullurpet (Nellore) and Koida (WG). Meanwhile, Kavali, Nellore and Jangamaheswarapuram recorded the day’ highest day temperature of 39 degrees Celsius each. 

The temperatures at other places in the State were: Ongole 38, Bapatla, Machilipatnam, Vijayawada, Kadapa, Tirupati 37 each, Nandyal 36, Nandigama, Tuni, Visakhapatnam Airport, Anantapur 35 each, Kakinada, Narsapur 34 each, Kalingapatnam, Visakhapatnam, Kurnool 33 each and Arogyavaram 32.
