Collector Karthikeya Misra reviews development in Amalapuram

 Kakinada: Collector Karthikeya Misra has directed the officials of various departments to complete all development works as per schedule in Amalapuram Assembly constituency.

Reviewing the progress of ongoing development works in Amalapuram Assembly constituency along with Ayithabattula Anand Rao at Collectorate here on Wednesday, he said that 50 percent of houses were constructed out of 7,489 houses under NTR Housing scheme sanctioned during 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 and directed the officials to complete the remaining houses.

Rs 10 crore worth of wages were generated in NREGP and so far an amount of Rs 6.45 crore was spent.

Panchayat Raj department should lay 100 kms length of roads every month and the government was very much particular in this regard, he said.

He directed the officials to start Anganwadi centre buildings by August 15, which were completed.

All the officials should work with coordination and lapses in any from relating to development works would be viewed seriously, the Collector warned.

Officials of various departments were present.
