Baineru bridge washed away, another collapsed

​Jangareddigudem: The bridge across Baineru rivulet was washed away disrupting road traffic on the state highway near Koyyalagudem and Taduvai villages in West Godavari district on Monday.

At Taduvai village in Jangareddigudem mandal, a bridge collapsed due to heavy flow of flood caused by the incessant rain on national highway.

Superintendent of Police M Ravi Prakash visited the inundated areas in the district and issued directives to officials on the safety measures.

On Monday, he toured marooned areas due to incessant rains and reviewed the safety aspects because of overflowing tanks and flooding of streams.

Jangareddigudem DSP Ch Murali Krishna and Circle Inspector Balaraju were among those who visited the flood-hit places.

The SP instructed the officials to take sufficient steps to avoid loss to life. He also supervised the flood situation at Yerrakalva. He assessed the flood problem in all the areas he visited on Monday.
