Oil palm farmers meet on October 3 in Jangareddigudem: AP Rytu Sangham
Jangareddigudem: Demanding remunerative price for oil plam, the farmers in the district will be organising a seminar in Jangareddigudem on October 3. Announcing this here on Thursday, AP Rytu Sangham upland district secretary K Srinivas called upon the oil palm farmers falling under the jurisdiction of all factories in the district.
He wanted the government to announce 20 per cent fixed recovery and pay Rs 11,000 per one tonne oil palm bunches. He asked the government to build a new factory with latest technology at Pedavegi. The meeting would discuss the problems faced by the farmers and decide the future course of action, he added. The leaders released brochures for the proposed seminar at the programme.
