Adarana-2 to provide sops to 8 lakh people
Amaravati: State government is planning to provide various types of benefits to nearly 8 lakh people in the state under Adarana -2 programme. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu instructed the officials to provide benefits to the people through different corporations like SC, ST, BC, Minority, Kapu, Brahmin and others.
The Chief Minister held a review meeting with the Heads of Departments, secretaries, collectors and ministers here on Thursday, and directed the authorities to ensure transparency in providing subsidies to the beneficiaries.
Minister for I & PR and Housing Kalava Srinivasulu stated that the scheme will be introduced after completing the TDP’s “Jayaho BC”, two-day public meeting scheduled in October.
Srinivasalu explained that “Adarana” programme will focus on providing loans with bank linkage for procurement of hand tools, powered tools and small equipment to weaker sections in the state.
The government will provide tailoring and embroidery machines, tools for the carpenters and other workers. It will give subsidy to improved manual tools, wood turning leather, drilling and wood carving tools.
The minister further added that they will provide subsidy to the blacksmiths, goldsmiths, spray painting workers, vulcanising or air compressor, weavers and other sections of people.
