Strict vigil on illegal cracker units: Dy CM N Chinarajappa

Kakinada: Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minster N Chinarajappa asked the revenue, police and fire service departments to keep a strict vigil on unauthorised cracker making units in the state. 

Speaking to the media after calling on the injured Devada Durga Reddy alias Manikantha (21) at Kakinada  Government  General  Hospital  (KGGH), who was injured in cracker explosion, here on Saturday, the Deputy Chief Minister said that this incident took place due to unauthorised manufacturing of fire crackers. 
 
The Deputy Chief Minister said that Durga Reddy sustained 75 to 80 per cent burn injuries.

The Deputy Chief Minister advised the neighbours of such unauthorised units to inform the authorities concerned about the illegal activity.
 
The Deputy Chief Minister said that there are 51 licensed units in East Godavari.
