Kakinada to be made tourist spot: Dy CM N Chinarajappa

Kakinada:  Deputy Chief Minister N Chinarajappa has said that Kakinada will soon be developed as a tourist place.  

Participating in the inauguration of developmental works taken up at a cost of Rs 8.18 crore at Vivekananda Park (Raja Tank) here on Saturday evening, Chinarajappa said that Kakinada had the potential to develop on par with Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam and Tirupati as a smart city.

Ha announced that the beach park was developed as tourist spot at a cost of Rs 46 crore. The Raja tank and Mahatma Gandhi Park added to the places of tourist spots in the city, he said.

Chinarajappa also said that as part of smart city development, roads, parks, drains and public places were being developed in Kakinada as part of provision of amenities.

Vedic scholar Chaganti Koteswara Rao appreciated the authorities for installation of statue of Dokka Seetamma who had provided food for all for several years in Konaseema area in East Godavari district.

Kakinada MLA P Anantalakshmi, MLA V Venkateswara Rao and others participated.
