AP State-level mini marathon held in Guntur city

Guntur: The Guntur urban police conducted State-level mini marathon from JKC College to Police Parade Grounds, covering around 5 kms in Guntur city on Sunday on the occasion of Police Commemoration Week celebrations. 

South Coastal Zone Guntur range Inspector General of Police KVV Gopala Rao, Guntur District Collector Kona Sasidhr, Guntur urban SP Ch Vijaya Rao, Guntur rural SP Ch Venkata Appala Naidu, Guntur Municipal Corporation commissioner Srikesh B Lathkar, Tullur ASP KV Krishna Rao, Guntur division railway manger VG Bhooma, CID additional SP KGV Sarita, ITC General manager Ranga Rajan, officials, employees and students residing in KJSS hostel participated in the mini marathon that started at JKC College premises and passed through Gujjanagundla, Pattabhipuram, flyover bridge, collectorate and reached Police Parade Grounds in Guntur city. 

Later, police officials paid tributes to police martyrs at Police Parade Grounds. Speaking on this occasion, Guntur urban SP Ch Vijaya Rao said that the department took steps to solve problems of the police and added that they are conducting various programmes on the occasion of Police Martyrs Week. Later, IGP KVV Gopala Rao and other officials distributed prizes to the winners of the mini marathon.
