GUDA to provide facilities to devotees in Rajamahendravaram
Rajamahendravaram: Godavari Urban Development Authority (GUDA) chairman Ganni Krishna has said that GUDA is extending financial assistance to provide facilities to the devotees in the temples which fall under the purview of GUDA.
Laying foundation stone to a shed for the devotees of Syamalamba Temple here on Friday, he said an amount of Rs 12.5 lakh was sanctioned for the construction of the shed.
An amount of Rs 3 lakh was sanctioned for Vinayaka Temple, an amount of Rs 19.55 lakh sanctioned to Bala Tripura Sundari Temple in Kakinada, Rs 15 lakh to Nookalmma Temple and Rs 15 lakh to Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple at Vadapalli.
GUDA is giving priority for providing facilities in the rural areas as part of urbanisation.
Stating that thousands visiting many ancient temples located in the district, GUDA chairman said that they would provide necessary facilities to them.
So far, GUDA spent an amount of Rs 7 crore for various development activities in urban areas.
GUDA vice-chairman Amarendra Kumar, temple executive officer Ramesh and corporator Reddy Raju and others were present.
