Nellore: State honorary president of AP Police Officers’ Association M Gangadhar demanded that YSRCP senior leader and Rajya Sabha member V Vijaysai Reddy apologise for his comments against the DGP R P Thakur in connection with the incident of attack on party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.

He said though they also condemn the attack on the Opposition leader, but it was not correct to casting aspersions on the police chief of the state.
Particularly taking serious exception to Vijaysai Reddy’s comment that the DGP seems to had passed the IPS exam by resorting to malpractices,  the police officers’ association leader said in such case they have also to doubt the genuineness of MP’s educational credentials as chartered accountant.

“We are not slaves or subordinates to political parties but only implement orders of the governments. Getting through IPS process is not easy as achieving a political post. You should not comment in such a way to tarnish image of senior police officials as you like,” said Gangadhar.
