Electric buses to hit smart city roads soon

Kakinada:  The Kakinada smart city is going to have the services of air conditioned electric buses to cater to the needs of the people very soon. 

According to city MLA V Venkateswara Rao, the buses will be introduced in two routes on trial basis for the convenience of local population with nominal fare.

While the first service will run from MSN Charities to Sarpavaram Junction, the second one from district Collectorate to  Dummulapeta fishermen area. 

Depending on the demand, the number of buses will be enhanced and extended to other routes, the MLA said on Sunday.
