Andhra Bank organises walkathon

Tirupati: As part of the week-long ‘Vigilance Awareness Week’ under the aegis of Andhra Bank, Tirupati Zone, a ‘walkathon’ was conducted here on Thursday. Bank employees and customers took part in the walkathon held here to create awareness against corruption.

Speaking on the occasion, Andhra Bank Deputy General Manager V Muralikrishna Rao said, as part of the ‘Vigilance Awareness Week,’ various programmes including essay writing competition on the theme of ‘Eradication of Corruption and to build a new India’ was conducted for college and school students and ‘Grama Sabhas’ were organised in semi-urban town and rural villages to create awareness against corruption.

On the first day i.e. on October 29, the staff along with customers took ‘integrity pledge’ in the branches, he added. Assistant General Manager Bhaskar Reddy and others were also present.
