Abul Kalam Azad remembered
Eluru: District Collector K Bhaskar has said the first education minister of India, Abul Kalam Azad was the brain behind the present education system in the country.
Participating in Azad’s birth anniversary celebrations here on Sunday, he said economic inequalities would be mitigated by education. It would also helps in social and financial development.
The Collector urged that parents of minority sections to ensure their children achieve great positions through education.
Mayor Noorjahan said that Azad was a great freedom-fighter and had moved closely with Gandhiji and Nehruji.
The students should emulate Azad to come up in life, she added.
Students were presented mementos and prizes to talented students on the occasion.
