Clear Chandranna Bima claims without delay: Collector to babus
Kurnool: District Collector S Sathyanarayana instructed the officials to resolve the claims of Chandranna Bima without any delay. He held a meeting of coordination committee at Collector Camp Office here on Tuesday. Speaking on the occasion, the Collector said the officials have to coordinate to resolve the claims pertaining to Chandranna Bima without delaying.
He also warned of taking stern action on the negligent officials. Expressing displeasure over district holding sixth position in the state in resolving the claims, the Collector directed the officials to strive for first position.
So far 19.10 lakh persons have taken memberships in the district, of them claims to 13749 for natural and 1548 accidental deaths have been paid. Till date laims to natural deaths, Rs.111.97 and Rs.50.35 to accidental, totalling to Rs.162.32 crores have been paid, said the Collector.
He instructed the Head of Department (HoD) of Forensic Science, Dr Lakshmi Narayana to immediately upload the post mortem reports. The officials have to ensure that people are happy with Chandranna Bhima scheme.
