AP leaders have no guts to question Centre

Vizianagaram: AP Intellectuals Forum Convener Chalasani Srinivas stated that the leaders of Andhra Pradesh have no guts to question the Central government over the assurances given during the bifurcation of the state.

Participating in a programme here on Friday, he demanded the BJP to prove its integrity and commitment by sanctioning funds and schemes as per the AP Reorganisation Act. He alleged there was no political commitment on the part of leaders and it will lead the state to land into troubles.

“Tamil Nadu has unitedly fought with Centre to save its tradition and culture like Jallikattu but here we can't find such unitedness. The Union government is just giving some amount to AP but not much interested to develop the state. Even the Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu also hoodwinked people that he would take all-party leaders to Delhi to question the Centre over the biased attitude,” he said.

Actor and director R Narayana Murthy demanded that North Andhra should be given Bundelkhand type of package. AP has been ignored for the past few decades and no leader has courage to question the Centre, he said.
