3 burglars nabbed; ornaments worth 13 lakh recovered

Tirupati: The Central Crime Station (CCS) cops arrested a gang of three burglars on Monday evening and recovered  gold and silver ornaments worth Rs 13.66 lakh, an iPod, a camera and mobiles from them.

The accused were identified as M Tarun (18) of Tirupati, S Sultan (25) alias Srinivasulu of Kandukur and S Khaja (29) of Chirala in Prakasam district.  Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, Urban SP KKN Anburajan said that the accused have confessed to breaking into five houses and stealing ornaments and other valuables from them.

They broke into houses in Nellore, Kavali, Kandukur and Gudur towns. The SP further stated that the accused used iron rods and screwdrivers for breaking the locked doors. The accused were sent to the judicial remand. He has appreciated Additional SP D Siddha Reddy, DSP R Ravi Sankar Reddy and other police personnel, who have involved in the investigation of case.
