National Children’s Science Congress inaugurated

Vijayawada: A two-day 26th National Children’s Science Congress 2018, a science expo was inaugurated by Minister for Forests Siddha Raghava Rao at KL University here on Sunday. 

AP State Council for Science and Technology (APSCST) organised the congress. The theme of the science congress was ‘Technology and inventions for the Clean, Green and Healthy country’. About 167 projects were showcased in the National Children’s Science Congress.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that this type of Science congresses would improve knowledge of the children and these expos would direct the students towards the new inventions. 

He said that this was a good platform for the young scientists from 10 to 17 years to prove their creative talents.

The minister said that the Union and State governments had issued permission to establish Sub Regional Science Center at Rajahmundry and would begin its works in December and completed in one year. 

He said that proposals were submitted to the Government of India for the permissions to establish the Sub Regional Science Centers at Ongole and Kurnool, he added.
