TDP govt diverted Polavaram funds, alleges Kanna Lakshminarayana
Guntur: BJP State president Kanna Lakshminarayana launched 'Intintiki BJP programme' at Nallacheruvu in Guntur city on Tuesday. He interacted with locals and distributed pamphlets on achievements of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government during the last four-and-half years and developments works taken up by the BJP government.
Speaking on this occasion, he said the party launched the programme to explain welfare schemes introduced by the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre and development projects undertaken.
He pointed out that the Centre was implementing 125 welfare schemes for the benefit of poor people. He said the State BJP would explain to the people on the funds released by the Centre for the development of Andhra Pradesh and seek their support to strengthen the party from the grass root level.
He alleged that the TDP government diverted the funds sanctioned by Centre for the Polavaram Project. He also alleged that some TDP MLAs were involved in illegal quarrying of sand. Irregularities were also committed in construction of individual toilets.
BJP city president Ammitsetty Anjaneyulu urged the party leaders and activists make the programme a grand success. BJP leaders D.Rama Mohana Rao , Kandukuri Satyanarayana, K.Venkata Prasad, K.V.Subba Rao,Narella Madhava Rao, Madhava Reddy and Neelam Prasad were among those participated.
