AgriGold small customers hopeful of getting back their deposits

Vijayawada: AgriGold victims, particularly the small investors, who paid less than Rs.20,000 as deposits have been eagerly waiting for the re payment of deposits by the State government. 

More than 32 lakh depositors have deposited several thousand crore to the AgriGold company in seven states and been waiting for the repayment of their deposits.

Most of the depositors are from AP. With the recent announcement made by the State government that the State government would pay deposits to the investors between Rs.200 to Rs.300 crore, the small investors are hopeful of getting back their deposits. 
 
But, it is not clear how many of them get back their deposits as the State Government can’t repay to all depositors. Over 13 lakh small depositors have deposited below Rs.20,000 amount totalling to Rs.1182.17 crore.

A total of 5,02,517 depositors have deposited up to Rs.5000 totalling to Rs.122.17 crore. 
Over 2.91 lakh depositors deposited between Rs.5000 to Rs.10,000 totalling to Rs.240.92 crore and 4.19 lakh depositors deposited between Rs.10,000 and Rs.15,000 totalling to Rs.514 crore.
