Gang duping people with magic coin held
Vizianagaram: The police arrested a gang involved in duping people in the name of magical coins. Interestingly, a sub-inspector of police was also one of the accused in the case.
DSP K S Sravan Kumar informed that GVV Rama Krishna of Aganampudi in Vizag city and K Paidi Raju of Chinagadili lured K Janaki Ram and T Anandarao to offer a magical coin, which they have made them to believe that the coin would bring crores of rupees in international markets.
Both the complainants Janaki Ram and Ananda Rao had paid Rs1 lakh as advance in January and they were asked to pay the remaining Rs11 lakh in next few weeks. As per their agreement they were directed to meet P Sanjeeva Rao and P Subba Rao of Vizianagaram.
The victims came to Vizianagaram with remaining Rs 11 lakh to give it to gang and to get magic coin. However, S Raju SI of CCS staged a drama of conducting raids on den. The gang had fled with the coin and cash.
Later Ramakrishna and Paidi Raju were caught by Janaki Ram and Ananda Rao and assured that they would give either cash or coin within a few days but they failed to do so.
